  Decreased Ability In Detecting Tumors More Prevalent In Younger Women -- Ivanhoe

Who would have thought that youth had disadvantages? A new study shows that there is a lower mammographic detectability in women in their forties compared to women in their fifties and sixties. Women in their forties have typically had worsened mammography screening outcomes, measured in terms of tumor size, lifetime gained, and mortality because tumors in younger women grow more quickly and younger women have denser breast tissue making the tumor hard to see.
