| Asthma is not just a young person's disease -- Internet Source
If you thought asthma was only a young person's disease, think again. It's common because as people age, lungs and blood vessels change structurally, causing a drop in lung function. Yet people often confuse asthma with bronchitis, emphysema or sinus problems, which partly explains why an estimated 40 percent of older asthma sufferers receive no treatment. Researchers found that people who don't drink are about four times more likely to suffer from arthritis than people who have at least one drink three days a week or more. Not only that, but people who drink report less pain –– and the more often they drink, the milder their symptoms. |
